Heston’s Feasts

Heston Blumenthal is best known for his three-Michelin-starred restaurant, The Fat Duck in Bray, Berkshire in the UK. It was voted the best restaurant in the world in 2006, but since then, El Bulli in Spain has pipped his restaurant from top spot. I consider him a chemist, innovator, gastronomic weirdo, and a great thinker. He is creative and loves to play with people’s senses. Heston’s Feasts began airing on SBS One and SBS HD on Sunday 6 December, and screens every Sunday night at 8:30pm.

A brief synopsis of the television series from the website reads:

“Heston Blumenthal is known for his mind-bending menus where food and science combine with delicious consequences: “I want to create meals that are a delicious spectacle, where every bite is a delight to the senses.” Now he’s cooking his way through history and raising recipes from the dead on a surreal and spectacular gastronomic journey.”

Mr Heston what a great program . I am a English village country man living in western Australia.
I live very close to the coast and have a boat for access to local sea food. I live 100yards from Joondalup country club which is a very high class hotel and eatery.
Dont you think it would be great to do a Australia Heston feast to move the Aussies from meat pies to ………….you name the pies.

Hi Rob, thanks for your comment :) I think it would be brilliant to have Heston film an Aussie special (6 part series), and include Perth in it. I guess he’s got a lot on his plate, with Heston’s Fishy Feast, and the upcoming Heston’s Mission Impossible. Looking forward to the latter on Channel 7.
