Maggie Beer Burnt Fig Jam, Honeycomb & Caramel Ice Cream
There are times in life where you get those ‘close your eyes, savour the flavour, tongue rolling, teeth licking‘ moments of indulgence. Today, I experienced one of those moments. I bought one of the last three Maggie Beer Burnt Fig Jam, Honeycomb & Caramel Ice Cream ($8.99 for 500ml) tubs at Coles, and rushed home to dig my spoon in.

The ice cream was soft, creamy, and buttery, with hints of honey, tiny bits of honeycomb, rolled caramel, and large splashes of fig jam. The burnt jam added a kind of sour and bitter flavour to the mix. It was fantastic. As you can see in the photos, I’ve already eaten half a tub! The last time I ate an ice cream this good was when I lived in Sydney. The Black Forest ice cream at the Lindt Chocolate Cafe was to die for – dark chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips and sour cherry ripple.
Only half a tub left…
A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down…
Maggie Beer describes her ice cream range as ‘Grown up ice cream for adult tastes‘. I can see why. You wouldn’t give this to your kids. Let them have the vanilla, chocolate or strawberry ice cream. Keep this for yourself!
